PERFORMANCE DIVISION:
WHAT IS IT? – This is a chance for all martial artists of any rank to demonstrate
their art at the “Diamonds” in a non-competitive, not judged event.
WHO MAY PARTICIPATE? - All martial artist, all ages – There are three divisions – Beginner\intermediate; advanced & Black Belt. If performing as a team, you will be in the division of the highest ranked person on your team.
WHAT MAY I DO? – Individual form (empty hand, weapons, music, creative…your choice). Team Form; Family Form; Self-Defense; other? (No breaking, please).
HOW LONG? – Three (3) minute time allowance
HOW MUCH? Each performer will pay an entry fee.
AWARDS? – Each performer will receive an official Diamond National Karate Championships Performance Award (approximately 18”). Additionally, all performers will receive General Admission into all Diamond Nationals events (except the seminars). General admission into the Saturday night Finale’ is on a FIRST COME FIRST SERVED basis.
MEGA TEAM DIVISION: This event will be conducted under the rules of the North Central Karate
Association (NCKA)
WHAT IS IT?: Team form performed by 10 to 50 participants. This is a competitive event and will be judged.
WHO MAY PARTICIPATE? – All competitors all ages, all ranks may compete (see “Divisions”). Teams may mix ranks\ages.
WHAT MAY WE DO? – Any form. Music, weapons are optional.
DIVISIONS? – BEGINNER – MAJORITY of competitors must be UNDER the rank of BROWN BELT. ADVANCED – MAJORITY of competitors must be BROWN BELT or HIGHER.
HOW IS EVENT JUDGED? –
- Number of team competitors will impact judging.
- Synchronization – The ”tighter” the team members, the higher the score. Teams that perform “on count” will not be scored as highly as teams
who do not.
- Execution – Individual performances will be judged as in individual competition.

- Presentation
AWARDS – Teams will receive First – Fourth place team trophies. Each team member will receive an individual Diamond Nationals award.
